Sprint
A Sprint is a timed writing session with a word goal. Open Sprint from the sidebar, or start one from the Command Palette.
Setting a Sprint
Section titled “Setting a Sprint”Pick:
- Duration — 25 minutes by default; set what suits you.
- Goal — words to add. Quick-start gives you 25 minutes and 500 words.
Trove records your starting word count, runs the timer, and shows the delta. When the timer ends you get a Toast — keep writing or stop. Either way the Sprint is logged.
Sessions
Section titled “Sessions”A Session is the broader writing-time tracker. Every Sprint, plus any free writing you do, rolls up into:
- Daily and weekly totals — words written today and across the week.
- The writing-stats heatmap — your year at a glance.
- Per-Manuscript progress — words against the Manuscript’s target, with an optional deadline.
Set a Manuscript’s word target and deadline from its overview. The Desk shows recent activity when you open the app.
