Folio

A Folio combines all the Scenes inside a Folder into one continuous scroll. Each Scene keeps its own file on disk and saves independently — the Folio is a read-and-edit lens, not a merge.

Open it from the editor’s view switcher (Folio), or run Open folio… from the Command Palette.

  • Read end-to-end without losing your place between Scenes.
  • Catch transitions between scenes — the seams between files become visible.
  • Edit prose continuously without remembering which chapter you’re in.

Folio is what other tools call “Scrivenings” or “long view”. Trove calls it Folio.

See Revising for how Folio fits the revision pass.
