Board

The Board is the planning surface of a Manuscript. One card per Scene, with the Scene’s synopsis on the face — plus three more views over the same tree.

What it does

• Drag cards to reorder Scenes.
• Drag a card onto an Act strip to group it. Acts are visual groupings on the Board; they map to Folders on disk.
• Click a card to jump into the Scene.

The Board is the right surface when you want to rearrange the spine of a Manuscript — moving scenes between Acts, splitting a fat chapter, cutting a scene to an archive Folder.

Views

The Board toolbar exposes four views of the same Manuscript:

• Cards — the default index-card grid above.
• Outline — an act-grouped table with inline-editable Status, POV, synopsis, and word-goal columns. Sort by any column header, hide or reorder columns via the Columns picker, and drag rows to reorder within or across acts. Flip the Flatten toggle to hide act headers and treat the whole Manuscript as a single sortable list.
• Timeline — lane-grouped Scenes by POV or story-time. If the Manuscript has a Time system, story-times resolve to real positions on the axis, and Landmarks appear as pegs.
• POV — a point-of-view lens: who narrates what, and where the POV pattern breaks.

The Board toolbar is also where you open the Manuscript’s Time editor — the invented calendar behind the Timeline.
